Looking for work again! Can’t keep on doing this!
My job at UBS ended. This wasn’t a surprise to me. I will not call it one of my favourite jobs, although I certainly learnt a lot and did like some of the people. I didn’t expect anything to happen regarding a new job during the holiday season, but was hoping for some more signs of life in the job market by now. It isn’t as dead as it was after 9/11, but it is hardly vibrant! My hope is that I will be back at work shortly after my return from my next trip to England. I will be taking Jan to meet my family, as I met hers at Thanksgiving.
While I am seeking what I hope is one last contract, I am looking into a venture that where I will be my own boss. It will not be something that happens either fast or without a considerable amount of hard work, but I am excited about it. When I’m ready to tell more, I will post about what will be a new blog. In the modern world, nothing happens without first building a community through blogging. Fortunately, that is something I have had plenty of practice with!
